Dear colleagues and friends,

The Workshop "Microwaves, Radar & Remote Sensing" (MRRS 2005) is held in the framework of the Symposium "Air Traffic Management, Security and Flight Safety" and as a part of the Second World Congress "Safety in Aviation" that is organized by the National Aviation University (Kiev) in cooperation with ICAO, EUROCONTROL, and other International organizations and institutions from different countries.

The language of all papers, presentations and discussions at the MRRS 2005 will be only English.

The Workshop MRRS 2005 is planned to be a forum of ideas exchange and results discussion in the field of electromagnetic theory and applications; radar technology, systems and signal processing; remote sensing methods and data processing. Both passive and active methods as well as systems of all frequency bands are welcome.

The only specific demand of MRRS-2005 suggests that aerospace application of the results or their influence to aviation safety and/or security is desired to be indicated in the submissions. Aerospace systems always were the application field of the newest achievements of microwave and electronic theory, methods and technologies. They have also close connection with remote sensing methods and systems. That is why this demand does not limit the range of conference topics essentially.

Ukraine has extremely strong electromagnetic, microwave and radar community. Unfortunately, at present, majority of Ukrainian scientists still cannot attend International conferences in Western Europe, USA and other places outside Ukraine. The Workshop held in Kiev city gives a chance to discuss the research results between the Ukrainian and the Western scientists, and more broadly between scientists from the former USSR and interested scientists & experts from the rest of the World who are very encouraged to visit Kiev during the Workshop.

A Call for Papers for MRRS 2005 is available in HTML and PDF format at this website.
